Slayer Lit yahoo group the owner of this yahoo group is a member of our meetup. To go with the lyahoo group theres a website SlayerLit. Both the mailing list and the website are primarily dedicated to the media tie-in novels that have been created around the Buffyverse.

SaveAngel.org, one might think this site would be almost unused since Angel's been off the air for almost three years. However, the site hosts an active bulletin board and a good page of news feeds about the Whedonverse. They've just started hosting a weekly chat on Thursday nights, topics are either old episodes of BtVS or AtS, or current episodes of Bones, Heroes, or Lost. Somethimes they have special chats with known tie-in Buffy authors (Nancy Holder, Chris Golden, etc.)

Chicago Slayathon since 2003, this has been an annual Buffy charity event held at Dave and Busters on No. Clark St (BTW, if you went to this group's Halloween party or ever been to SciFi meetup you kow where this is). The benefitting charity is Make a Wish foundation of Illinois.

Chicago SciFi meetup - this group is oriented primarily to the general field of SF and Fantasy (literary and media). Some of our members participate in this group, too.

Chicago Firefly meetup our sister Chicago Whedonite meetup. BTW, this group has an excellent newish organizer, named Nina, who many of you know. This group has a large Web presence with Chicago Browncoats website and Yahoo group: Chicago Firefly. I'm sure many of us know a few of their members and as fellow Whedonites we need to salute them.
