NEWS ABOUT PORTAGE'S SERENITY SCREENING IN JUNE

Meetupers,
Below in a message and copy of E-mail from a Chicago Browncoat I got about the upcoming scheduled Cannot Stop the Serenity screening at Portage that was originally scheduled for June 20, 2008. As the message states due to unavailability of a 35mm print to show, the scheduled screening is being cancelled. Our scheduled meetup for that date has been deleted from our group's calendar.

I got this E-mail from one of the Chicago Browncoats this A. M, and it's very dissappointing news. Check out Chicago Browncoat bulletin board for more information; however, as of now their website's not updated yet. As a consequence of this latest news, I'll be deleting the meetup shortly.

Why Can't It Ever Go Smooth?

Hi,

We are POSTPONING our screening due to an unfortunate accidental destruction of a large portion of the 35mm prints of Serenity, despite standing instructions to keep all prints in storage. Our Universal Rep is just as upset and concerned as we are and is working on a possible solution to the shortage. Meanwhile, we will be announcing a new date very soon, which will allow us to have a print available, so please check back here or look out for a new meetup announcement.

I will be canceling the event for now and will send a new meetup invitation when we have a confirmed date.
